This 5,000-square-foot, five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath 1905 home underwent a precise and respectful renovation that preserved its original architectural charm while reworking the layout to suit the needs of a modern family.

Original architectural character was carefully preserved and elevated, while a series of strategic spatial interventions dramatically improved flow, comfort, and functionality. The north side of the house was transformed into a gracious primary suite and guest wing, while the removal of a secondary stair unlocked an entirely new vision for the kitchen—now centered around a generous island, abundant storage, and seamless connection to the dining room. Throughout, timeless materials and living finishes were paired with discreet contemporary luxuries, creating a home that feels both timeless and effortlessly current.

By removing a back staircase and reworking the floor plan, the kitchen became a beautifully functional gathering space—centered around a generous island and grounded by the original terracotta floors, thoughtfully preserved and restored.

The new kitchen layout includes a butler’s pantry with generous storage and connection to the dining room.
